Actress Natalie Portman has been appointed Ambassador for Free The Children, a charity working to support the educational needs of children in developing countries.
The announcement follows Portman's involvement in the organisation's Power of a Girl project, which enabled the building of the Kisaruni All-Girls Secondary Boarding School in Kenya's Maasai Mara region.
